Here is a video of my Honor Guard Golden Daemon Finalist from start to finish

Enjoy! I put a lot of love into these models. I am pretty proud of myself for making the cut and being a finalist. There was a lot of stiff competition.

What did you think of the CM squad that won the Slayer sword.

They are displayed at my local store (Tower Games) in Minneapolis, so I had a chance to see them in person. I can't fathom the detail that went into them?

The piece that won the 07 Slayer sword is also on display there and that on is still one of the most amazing things I have seen.

I think it was fantastic! Totally worthy of the win. I also think though that it went along with all the other winners. I think this years judge was partial to the dark, gritty look. Just about every winner had the same dark and muted finish. They were beautiful yes... but that meant any thing bright with extreme highlights, though no less good, did not stand a chance.

Yes, I would love to have seen your work next to the winners. It is hard to compare pieces through pictures.

That being said I love your work, it has been inspiring for me as I try and raise the level of my painting. Even if it goes against every grain of my Chaos Space Marine mentality, I love your Blood Angels.

Thanks man. I improve every time I paint a model. I think I will get a GD sooner or later. This was my first try! Glad I can inspire. :)

This was so beautiful I could almost cry. =)

Really, those are awesome conversions and painting. =) The only thing I don't get fluffwise is how you came up with the checker pattern.

Oh, and where did you take the music from? It really adds a whole lot to the atmosphere of the video. =)

There are no rules saying they cant have checkers! These guys probably got jealous of their Lamenters cousins.
