I thought you guys would appreciate some pictures of my newest full size banner. This one is a Blood Angels Death Company Furioso Dreadnought banner to comemorate the newest form of my army. I painted it up for this coming weekends Battle for Salvation tournament in White Plains.
I used a black heavy fabric banner that was made up by Black Matt's wife. Then I used acrylic paint to layer in the color. It takes a lot of layers I learned, so when painting with yellow over black, I use 50/50 white and yellow on my first layer. White is a very opaque color that lays down a good base. After that you only realy need a single coat of yellow on top. The skull and scroll were painted brown first, then I mixed in white for successive layers until I got to just the highlights with pure white. The blood drops were made laying down a few layers of red, then highlighting with Orange and white. Feel free to ask any questions!

I won't lie Jawaballs...you are the reason I started a Sons of Baal Chapter...
But it will be a Jump Pack army...they work well in smaller games of 1k or so...jump pack guys with a Powerfist can do some hurt as in that point range there are few if any elites...haha
I have even added a 3rd Land Speeder to my ever growing army of marines just got the extra 50 point everything killer...
just wish the Baal Predator was a plastic model...but hey if it makes it through the upcoming Blood Angel Codex update they might actually put one out...

yah man, thats why I made it. I will bring both of my banners tomorrow evening. I will be at the club as soon as it's open. If you want I can make some special ones for the club to put on the walls during tournaments. Get the wife to make the banners!

Yo Jawa, would you mind doing a recap post and just posting more picture of all of your models. I think there are a lot more angels painted than I get to see. Would enjoy seeing all of your army..
Flek, I would happily take full size banner commissions, but like any custom art work, they wont be cheap! I paid 50 bucks for that banner alone before I painted it...(I had to have some one make it for me!) My newest one is going to be the full sized Blood Angels chapter banner, 6" long.
The hardest part is getting the banner though. Black Matt's wife made the ones I have, and she doesnt want to do it any more. I would need to find a supplier! Maybe I will do up ragnar then you can decide if the price is worth it to you.
Vulkan, Surprisingly, I dont have loads of Blood Angels sitting around. I have sold off or given away some of my extra boys, and I have broken down most of the others as I have reworked my army over the last 2 years. What I do have is a pile of half assembled troops. But since this has been a repeated request, I will make a video showing off all that I have.
