Does any one use Yahoo as their home page? I have had it set as my homepage for years since my main email account is a yahoo account. But they changed their homepage, and no if I scroll over any thing, they pop up stupid windows... for example, as I am scrolling over to my email address, and I may pause and hover over some "favorite links" link, while I am reading an article headline, and whammo, some crappy interface pops up for me to set favorite links. What the hell was wrong with their original interface? If it aint broke, don't try to fix it! The point of this is that I am fed up with yahoo! and am finally looking to switch to a new homepage. You guys can help me pick it! What do you use? Jawaballs

I use http://theawesomer.com/, simply because it's nice to see some awesome things when I turn my browser on! Other than that it has no uses.
I suppose http://www.google.com/ig is a decent choice as well, it's a customisable version of google complete with RSS readers and what-not.
I use Google Reader to keep up to date with all my blog subscriptions. But the Google homepage is good too.
I just have google as my homepage. Simple and easy. Any sites I frequently visit are pinned to my favorites list underneath the address bar. Works well for me!
about:blank works like a charm for me. No distractions or anything. If you want to check up on your blogs (dying to see that Imperial Fists dread finished aren't you?), get news, have good web based mail, etc I recommend trying out all of google for a few weeks to see what you think. I personally use google mail and google reader.
Don't have a very busy page as your default, it will distract you, and you are going to need less distractions.
Also for maximum delight use http://flekkzo.blogspot.com as your homepage:)
Hehe, about:blank is pretty extreme, I use google chrome as my internet browser which shows small pictures of my 9 most visited sites that I can click on and go to. http://pradeep3100.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/google-chrome.jpg
Works for me.
I just have it set to my favourite news site, so I can quickly check up on what's going on in the world. I'm one of those crazy people who goes nuts if they don't read a newspaper every other day...
JB, get google chrome. You can set it to open as many tabs as you like upon launch. For instance, when i start my browser it opens the following tabs: my gmail account, my facebook page, my school web account page, BoLS homepage, and last but not least, this blog (go blood angels). Also, if i open a new tab, it goes directly to the handy page that lists the 9 other sites i visit most which ultralemming mentioned.
Google chrome really is the win.
I've had Google forever as my homepage, though I may look at this Google Chrome business. I'd recommend Gmail though, feels much cleaner to use than Yahoo mail.
I'd even offer to invite you. ;)
Nice to see I'm not the only one using about:blank ... =)
On the other hand I usually have between 30 and 50 pages open automatically whenever I start up Opera! Don't need to check them all though, just nice to have them at hand.
